    Cute post. but very true.

  2. This infographic is just too true! We also made sure our girls could do basic tasks.

I have a “gem” of a husband who has done all of these for me multiple times. We have been married 41 years and he still watches football and eats steak!

  4. So true!! This is stuff I should know how to do as well!

  5. Jessica Knight says:

I think everyone should know these things! I love a handy woman!

I agree with Iza, Sarah, and anyone else who says these are NOT just “man-skills” they are abilities that really ALL of us need as we go through the walk of life…. One can’t always count on having a man around… I’m screen-shotting the graphic and storing it in my pc for future reference!

  11. This so true. I have a son in law that cannot do anything handy except change diapers!

My father taught me how to do every mans job so in case the man wasn’t around I would be stuck calling a plumber or not being able to close a door properly. As far as changing a tire, we had to learn to do that in Drivers Ed. Girls learn to be a little independent. You’ll be glad when there’s no man around.

  13. Alyssa F says:

lol PREACH! i agree 100% men are in charge of all that

This is hilarious! Thank you, made me laugh.

  15. I should print this and give it to my son. He knows a couple of them but I don’t want him worrying about the diaper yet. I am not ready to be a grandma!

  16. Brigid OHara Koshko says:

Love it! I learned a lot from my grandfather so I don’t have to rely on husband to do a lot of the things around the house. Plan on teaching my kids so this will be great tool!

  17. Vickie Couturier says:

probably wouldnt be a bad thing for a woman to know too,,ive had to change a few tires when there wasnt a man around or a lazy husband that wouldnt do it,,yeah,he’s gone now,lol

I love this post! The funny thing is I usually have to call my dad for simple things like this because my husband is not so handy. Maybe this will help him!

  19. This is great! We have 2 teenage boys and there are still so many “essential tasks” that we’d still like to teach them before they venture off on their own. And, this is a really fun way to learn! I especially like the “required material” for the last one… COURAGE! Ha!

  20. Nichole Miller Shamblin says:

Haha that’s funny I do more of these than my husband.

  21. Olivia F. says:

This infographic looks like things ladies should know too! It never hurts to be able to do some of this stuff yourself, haha! :) I say that, but goodness knows I’ll have someone else do it for me! :P It’s a great way to give info though- I felt like I learned something!!

  22. Many years ago, I was driving with a boyfriend to Maine when my car broke down in New Hampshire. We walked to a antique shop across the street where the woman there let me use their phone while my boyfriend really didn’t do much. He was outside at one point when both pulled me aside and told me that I would be wise to get rid of him and that he was useless. They said he was really no man and they could see he relied heavily on me to do the dirty work,. Lastly they said “He isn’t even good looking. You are way out of his league. You aren’t doing yourself any favors.” It didn’t happen over night, but yep…got rid of him…yep they were right and now I am with the real deal. Who by the way can do all of the above. :)

  23. cortney walls says:

This is great, but I totally agree with the other comments that ladies should absolutely know ALL of these things as well!

I love this infographic, got to show a few friends lol, I think everybody should know how to these things, there is nothing so cool as a DIY when your man ain’t around. Thanks for sharing !

  25. I have to admit I don’t know how to change a tire. I’m even thinking of switching to AAA just in case it happens again.

  26. Samantha W says:

I got lucky with a husband that does these things, but I also can do them, except the electric, if I ever need to

  27. The poster made me laugh! It’s so cute, and absolutely true! The diaper change had to be the best, needing courage is a definite!

  28. Anna Memphis says:

Both sexes need to know how to do this stuff!

  29. I love this! I think this is the perfect gift for any dad-to-be!!

  30. haha Cute infographic – and very true!

  31. Jimmy Arcade says:

I’m not a big fan of any message that indicates that such and such is “manly” or ushering “any man down the path of manliness”. There are different temperaments that a “man” can have. Some are poetic, like Jacob and some are hunters, like Esau.

  32. Great post! And true!! :)
