Ivy Kids Educational Month Subscription Review
As a former elementary school teacher I understand the importance of early childhood education. If you do not teach your children early BEFORE they actually start kindergarten they may struggle. Plus, teaching them before the age of six is actually the perfect time for them to learn. At that age their LITTLE brains are like BIG sponges….soaking up all the knowledge you can give them!
I am not saying every child will be reading when they start kindergarten but, several of them can be! The key is finding educational interactive fun teaching activities to spark their imaginations and get them interested in learning!
Well, I have found the perfect kits all ready for you!! All you need to do it open and follow the directions! I use to spend HOURS and HOURS as a kindergarten teacher making such activities for my students to participate in fun educational learning. Now, as a stay at home mom it is even harder for me to gather and make the teaching units I want.
Ivy Kits is a new monthly educational subscription for children ages 3-8 developed by early childhood teachers with children of their own. Their goal is to provide monthly resources and tools to parents and caregivers looking to have a more meaningful learning experiences with their children.
Each Ivy Kids kit contains more than ten activities, along with a book which all of the activities are based upon. The games, projects, and crafts are all designed to “develop fine and gross motor muscles, build math and literacy skills, encourage reading comprehension, and promote scientific thinking”.
Each kit contains all of the materials you’ll need as well as instructions and age modifications for each project.

The kit you reviewed is really cute! I agree that kids brains are like sponges and can absorb so much information at a very young age. I have two granddaughters, ages three and four, and they never cease to amaze me at how much and quickly they learn new things. Thanks for the review.
Jennifer Hiles says
Wow, there is a lot of activities that come in this kit! I was wondering if anyone could tell me when you should start teaching your kid to read? My daughter just turned 3. She is very impatient, I’m not sure if she would sit long enough for an activity or not. I’d love to give it a try though. Looks like a good program.
shana vaughn says
This is the neatest program!

There are so many great learning products for kids now-a-days! It’s funny because I was able to read when I entered kindergarten, but the teachers refused to believe my mom. They figured I just had a favorite book that I’d read so many times that I had memorized it. Apparently my mom got her day in the sun, however, when she was late to pick me up one day. That same day, we’d been given notes to take home to our parents and they had pinned them to our clothes. When my mom came into the classroom, I jumped up and told her that we had been given a note, then proceeded to read the note out loud (and upside down no less). Apparently they believed her after that. lol.
My trick to learning was a pregnant mom who wanted lots of naps, living in a neighborhood with no kids my age, and having a speak and read and speak and spell as my favorite toys. This method is probably much more enjoyable!
velma murphy says

It is so important to teach our kids from an early age how important it is to read. My son loves books and I have already begun teaching how to sound out words. This kit looks amazing. Thanks again for this awesome review!!!
Lindsay Giedosh says
I love the idea of subscription boxes and I think kids would enjoy them just as much as us adults! Especially if they’re this much fun and of course they’re learning all at the same time, great post!

I really love that the kit has a uniform theme, frogs. They’re learning about frogs in a fun way and maybe they’re also learning the importance of focusing on one bit of subject matter; they’re learning to be thorough.
Crystal Rose says
It looks like they have some great book choices.
Rachel Beltz says
Oh my gosh, he is too cute! He looks so excited to learn!
I love that kits like these exist today, it’s so much easier than trying to do hours and hours of reseach on how to teach your growing children!
DG Middendorf says
Aren’t kits like that great? I was the literacy specialist at a Resource and Referral Agency for almost 11 years and prior to that a preschool teacher. I used to spend other people’s money on things like this. Now I stay home with my little grandsons and spend my own.
Amy Lovell says
Thanks this seems like a great program!
