Next Weeks Meal Plan with Grocery List

Each week I make a grocery list out to go shopping for the weekend. Making the meal plan out for the following week really becomes a pain at sometimes. Having five people to “try” to please and the youngest with food allergies it becomes a real challenge sometime. There are some nights I am even having to cook two separate meals to accommodate the allergies and/or pickiness.

My youngest is allergic to soy, milk, and rice so on nights with those items in the main dish you will see a second meal.

Monday – I think I am going to try this chicken cacciatore’s recipe on Looks awesome! Serve with corn and green beans.

Tuesday -Tacos. This is where the pickiness come in. Some like soft other hard….some like taco chips but, it is a very easy meal to feed the family. {to avoid the food allergies make your taco seasoning from scratch -to avoid the soy. no cheese}

Wednesday – Pizza. We always have a pizza night each week. I like to have it on Wed. because Survivor comes on. It is our family show we all love to watch. Second meal: Spaghetti  {Allergy free sauce. I always keep spaghetti frozen to pull out on nights he can not each what we are having.}

Thursday – Stir Fry. I love all the veggies in stir fry. To avoid the allergies cook the chicken first and take out a small portion before adding the stir fry and soy sauce. This is very easy to make, you can buy the veggies prepackaged and just add chicken, soy sauce, and stir fry sauce.

Friday- Country Fried Steak with homemade mash potatoes. Sam’s sells the best premade country fried steak. I make the mash potatoes homemade so I can add the allergy free butter and almond milk to avoid the allergies.

Saturday- Eat out day :)

    I need to start doing this by making a weekly meal plan because the cost of food is getting so expensive and I need to make more meals at home. Thanks for some great ideas for my shopping list this week!

    I used to meal plan, but now my bf works graveyard 3 days a week and I have a M-F daytime shift. I also have class 3 nights a week so I am not home until 7:30. One of these days we will be able to plan meals.

  3. I make a weekly list too. I also try to make my list around my grocery stores sales. I always end up buying things I didn’t go for. Luckily there’s only two of us.

    I need to meal plan, it always seems so daunting for me but perhaps once I start doing it then it will be easier.

    I like to plan my meals ahead like this too!! I am trying to change up the menu more now (as I tend to repeat meals too often and the hubby complains)! I may have to borrow your idea to make Stir Fry!! I haven’t made that in a long time and its definitely a crowd pleaser around here! :)

  6. Michele Behlen says:

    I like the idea of a meal plan. Yours gives me some good ideas for next week.

  7. Susan Audrey says:

    Friday sounds extra yummy! I’ve never found a good premade country fried steak anywhere, unless you count Cracker Barrel! :)

  8. Wanda Bergman says:

    These are some great suggestions. I always seem to be running out of ideas for dinner. Thanks.

    I really need to start preplanning my meals. Probly would save me time and everything else. I usually go grocery shopping and just buy a bunch of stuff and then during the week I have no clue what to make sometimes. Stir fry is one of my favorites too.
