This morning on Good Morning America they talked about new recomendations for child car seats. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have now recommended that infants and toddlers stay in a rear-facing car seat until 2 years of age or until they outgrow the height and weight limits of the rear-facing seats. I know there are seats that will accommodate a child rear-facing till 2 years of age.
You can read more about it here at Good Morning America’s website page.
Now I will do it if they make it a law but I was so looking forward to turning my little one around soon! He is six months now and almost ready to be turned around. Not that I would want him hurt or any other child hurt in a car accident but every mother looks forward to the day when they can turn their little one around in their new seat!
