Luma Comfort IM200SS Portable Clear Ice Maker Review
With the holiday entertaining season and camping season here I am so happy to have been sent the Luma Comfort IM200SS Portable Clear Ice Maker with Stainless Steel Finish to test out and review for all of you. Our middle son has just joined the Cub Scouts this year so we are embarking on a new family experience of tent camping! Yeah…can you hear my sarcasm. The campsites have electrical hook-ups but, as Cub Scouts the rule of camping is to be in a tent. With the Luma Comfort IM200SS Portable Clear Ice Maker producing up to 28 pounds of crystal-clear ice every 24 hours we will have enough to share with the whole pack. This will make it great for keeping everyone’s ice coolers containing foods and drinks cold. Plus, allow for fresh clean ice for our drinks.
Also, I will be able to use this for the holiday season when we have family and friends over. Our first family gathering will be at our house for Thanksgiving. Then, at my mother-in-laws for and early Christmas party. Then, the following week at my grandmothers for the whole family. This ice machine only weighs 25.5 pounds making is super easily to put this in our vehicle and take with us to all the different events! No need to ask anyone to bring ice anymore.
What’s in the Box
The Luma Comfort IM200SS Portable Clear Ice Maker which has an ice scoop and ice basket. The box also had the owner’s manual. When it arrives there is a protective plastic wrap you pull off. This helped to protect the ice machine during shipping.
Features
The Luma Comfort IM200SS Portable Clear Ice Maker features a LED display button with push controls. Making it very easy to see the settings and to tell when you are low on ice or full on ice. Ice makes as in little as 15 minutes but, the first batch of ice always seem to take a little longer than that. The ice is restaurant quality clear ice. You can also set the machine to make thicker ice if you would like the ice a bit thicker.
Our Thoughts
This is going to be GREAT for camping and our holiday get-togethers. The Luma Comfort IM200SS Portable Clear Ice Maker was super easy to set up and use. Make sure to follow the directions and let it sit for awhile before using if you have been moving it around. This allows the refrigerant to settle before use. Not having to have a pluming hook up will make it great for camping and with it being so light we can bring it with us each time camping and to all the family meals.

The The Luma icemaker sounds ideal.. I can think of a lot of times we had to buy ice for gatherings to keep pop cold and etc. My Daughter has the Big 4th of July Party at her House every year. I am so glad that I read your review!! By the way, nicely done! My husband told me that he had been looking for one of these before we got married to go in his RV. I showed him this one, and it has renewed his interest! This one is really slick though! I just love it. I am an ice freak (like my mother-hereditary?) and cannot go without ice in my pop. I sure could use this. The only way I like my drinks is extremely cold. My ice maker died in my freezer. I also put ice cubes in my cats water dish all the time.
