Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus
We had a blast at the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus in Mobile, AL! If you are looking for a fun event to take the kids to this summer I highly suggest the circus!
The show starts with a Hero Training Pre-Show! Mr. Z was ready!
You want to make sure you show up an hour early to attend the FREE Hero Training Pre-Show! There is a main floor act to get everyone up close to the circus. Mr Z and I even became part of the show!
Those pins where flying right in front and behind of us! Really!! lol
They call the the kids into the ring getting everyone involved and excited about the show. It is an exciting interactive experience.
I know you can not tell from the blur {sorry about that} but, that is a dog jumping over the kids. 🙂
They also have a few other fun “Hero Training” acts come out to get the kids involved in the show.
You can also go backstage to see a few of the animals that will be in the show. Don’t forget to find the booth to sign up to win an elephant footprint painting. During the pre-show they bring out one of the elephants and have her make the artwork right then!
They also have fun wardrobes for the kids to try on and free Ringling Bros. tattoos to stick on.
I did not take any pictures of the show because they asked us not to but, it was very fun to watch! The kids enjoyed the show. Not only our three-year-old but, also our 15 year old! They have some very impressive acts!
You can see the full Tour Schedule to see if the circus will be near you soon! They actually have three tours going on at one time now so you may find them close to you soon!

I’m glad you guys had fun. We were really disappointed in the show when we took our girls last year. Half the acts of my childhood memories were gone- lions, tightrope walkers, etc.

Oh, I SO would not like to have to write this but I do have to: Circuses are horrible. The abuse and treatment of the animals should not be supported. Circuses receive so many animal welfare violations, especially for elephants – and don’t do anything about it. I’d much prefer circuses did not have any animals. Try Cirque de Soleil instead – the performers have given their consent to do what they are asked to do. Animals don’t have that option.

This was a nostalgic review for me. I haven’t been to the circus in years & miss it. The last time I went to the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus, the kids were little. What fun we had!! I still think going to it would be fun! Now that there is only my husband & myself, it seems like we do this kind of stuff less & less. I love to do something like this with the grandkids, but usually their parents want to make it a family outing with just their immediate family.

When the kids were young I took them to the circus. They really enjoyed it. I remember wondering how can they do this for a living? It sounds like a very hectic lifestyle.

Kids love the circus. I’ve only been once, when the kids were young. That was enough for me.

A couple of best memories when I was a kid was going to the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus!! My brothers, sister & I had GREAT times there!! I wonder if they would have let us in an hour earlier before the main show to attend the FREE Hero Training Pre-Show over 50 years ago! I would have LOVED to have seen that!! I’ll let my daughters’ families know. The circus is coming here in November. Thanks for the heads-up!!

It has been many years since I was last at the circus. My grandmother used to take me every summer. She’s passed away now. I had so much fun when I went. It’s definitely a great activity to do with your children! 🙂
