HABA Fun Family Silicone Kitchen Molds ~ Cake and Popsicle Molds!
HABA has just released these new silicone kitchen molds you can bake in the oven or freeze in refrigerator!! When I opened the packages I thought to myself, “I can not put this in the oven, it would melt.” I was wrong! Even though they are a rubbery feeling material they are made of silicone and can be placed in a oven.
You can also find a few of them on Amazon!
They have a few different ones to choose from:
Silicone Kitchen Molds will get your kids interested in cooking with you! HABA has 8 colorful trays that are priced from $10 to $25. Whether you select the baking or freezing mold you can take the opportunity to teach math and science lesson on temperatures and measurements.
You can fill the popsicle and ice cube trays with water, soda, sorbet, fruit, cool-aid, yogurt, or pudding for a nifty treat. Baking molds for cupcakes and cakes can be popped in the oven to create a jungle snake cake or safari-themed cupcakes. The Summer Flower Cake mold has a removable insert you can fill and cook or fill with a dipping sauce. Each sturdy mold comes with a booklet with three HABA tested recipes.
If you have a daughter wanting a flower cake this summer the Summer Flower Silicone Cake Mold is perfect. Taking a look at it you could make so many different recipes using this mold! You can also freeze it to make a Yogurt Ice Cream Bomb cake!! The recipe is included it the booklet. 🙂

I love the silicone molds. I use the holiday ones throughout the year by putting flavored water into them and freezing them. I then add the cubes to either my hot tea (to cool it down a bit and also add a little flavor to my black tea) or put them in the granddaughters water to flavor their ice water. This gives their water a subtle flavor and the flavored water bottles last a lot longer. I have been looking for “Hint” water in my stores but they haven’t made it there yet. Hint has a lot of flavors in their water that I’d love to try – like Lime, Crisp Apple, etc.

Love those cake molds. Allows you to achieve such great shapes. It would be a lot of fun. However, I really LOVE the pop-cycle molds. My family loves to make pop-cycles in the summer with all sorts of fresh fruit. I think the silicone would make it so much easier to get the pop-cycles to come out of the tray.
