How to Get a Discount on All Your Online Purchases
When shopping online we all want to get every available discount before we hit that purchase button. The problem is, it can be so aggravating to find coupon codes and discounts that are valid for when we are actually making the purchase. If you just search “discount code for ___”, we all know you get outdated codes.
The solution is to use valid current codes along with a reliable loyalty program to earn cash rewards after each online purchase. Giving Assistant is a free digital loyalty program, with over 1,100 largest retailers, you can earn an average of 5% cash reward after each online purchase. For an added plus, Giving Assistant also supports charity with every purchase you make.
How Giving Assistant Works
Retailers pay Giving Assistant a commission for purchases originated from their website. Typically a percentage of the sale (avg ~5%). For purchases originated by our members we pay the entire commission as cash back directly and digitally to our members. For non-member purchases we retain the commission, and make a small donation to Feeding America to give one meal. Members are given the option to automatically donate any % of their cash back to any charity of their choice.
Giving Assistant’s Cash Back Promise
I know you have heard of a few other sites like Giving Assistant. The difference is the Double Cash Back, Always. Giving Assistant gives you 100% of the commission, unlike the other guys with just 50% of the commission. You get it back direct via check or paypal. Minimum payout is just $5.01, not $25 like the other guys.
Let Me Show You How Giving Assistant Works
My youngest son still had his Christmas money he had received from grandparents to spend. He really loves to craft so, he wanted to purchase a desk. First just sign-up. Super easy! I just logged in using my Facebook account to make it easy.
You can look around at the deals and coupon offers to see where you might find the best deals. Looking for a desk for my son I found Kohl’s had a great coupon code, plus I could earn my Kohl’s cash along with Kohl’s reward points! Then, still get my rewards back on Giving Assistant!
My favorite places to shop are Kohl’s, Macy’s, Best Buy, Target and Walmart. My suggestion would to look around to see who has the product you want at the best price combined with the coupon codes offered through Giving Assistant.
When you click on a store you might want to shop at, Giving Assistant lays it all out for you. They are up front with exactly the percentage you will receive back and how you should make your purchase.
I shopped to find the exact desk he wanted then, took a look at all the coupon codes to see which would apply. To show the codes just click on one of them, then they reveal all the codes. I love how you don’t have to click on each code.
We purchased the Step2 Art Master Activity Desk listed for $94.99 with a shipping surcharge of $10 = $104.99+taxes.
I used the coupon code from Giving Assistant to receive $15 Off a $50 Order. Plus, I received $10 Kohl’s Cash back! My final purchase was……
With the Yes2You Rewards points I am only 20 points away from $5 Kohl’s rewards. So from this purchase I will receive $4 back.
Then, to top it all off I received $3.80 back from Giving Assistant!
Let’s break down the math……
-$15 coupon code found on Giving Assistant
Out of Pocket: $95.59
Receiving Back
$10 Kohl’s Cash
$4 Kohl’s Rewards
$3.80 Giving Assistant
Total: $17.80
Total Savings $32.80
Like Paying $77.79 for the Step 2 Desk!
Giving Assistant Referral Program
Oh, and don’t let me forget Giving Assistant’s referral program! Everyone you refer gets $5 cash fro signing up! Here, get your $5 by signing up using my referral link. If I would have had someone’s link I could have saved another $5 off the desk. 🙂

Student discounts are awesome, and if you’re currently enrolled in school, you can often get discounts on things from software to laptops to office supplies and more. Of course, if you aren’t a student, anymore—but you have flexible ethics—you can still use that old .EDU email address or school ID to get the same discounts forever .
