OkHello New App
About five years ago we moved about an our away from the rest of my family. We were one of those family that did hang out together all the time! So, moving an hour away really put a dent in us spending time together. Really, I don’t get to see them as much as I would like to anymore. Work, kids’ schedules, and just life always seems to get in the way.
I was told the other day about new app that allows you to do group video chats, text, send video messages, and photos called OkHello. It is so nice to get to see my family again! We talk on the phone all the time but, being able to see them really makes you feel a little better. Plus, we can all get on there together at the same time! I rarely get to see my niece and nephew interacting with each other and my kids, they are growing so fast. To see their physical changes make me feel close to them again!
OkHello is very easy to use! Once you have the app installed you can invite people to join in your conversations and see who else might be using the new app. My seven-year-old has been loving the app!!! He really misses his cousins so they have been on it together just about all day today. I can hear him in his room chatting and showing each other all the things in their rooms. It is so great to know they can still have a relationship even though we do not live close.
On the screen you can choose to make one person larger at the top or keep everyone the same just by tapping on their picture. It is great for having a group conversation. You can also send a text or video to people. If you try to call them to see something great and they don’t answer. You can just hit the record video button and they will still get to see it later.

The app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. Optimized for iPhone 5.
I am using the app on my mini iPad and it works great for me!

Very cool – it really is nice now how grandparents (and others) can watch kids grow up in real time!

This does seem like a great way to stay in touch…kids grow so quickly that it’s so nice to be able to see, rather than just talk. It looks so easy to use as well.

This app is amazing! (or so i have heard) but unfortunately all amazing things come out in the Apple market first and then the android 🙁
I’ll make sure that this app is one of the first i download when i get an iphone! Unless it comes out on the android… but even then it may not work as well as it does on the Iphone!
