No More Leaker’s Anonymous: Now We Have #PeriCoachUS
A whopping one in three women leak when they laugh, sneeze, cough, lift, jump or run. Are you one? Fact is, urinary incontinence (the medical term for “leaking”) is a common condition – but it’s not normal, and most women who have it choose to suffer in silence.
The good news is that there are options out there for those who leak. One of the newest option, PeriCoach, is an FDA-approved pelvic floor muscle training device + smart phone app (www.pericoach.com) that takes the guesswork out of “Kegels” to help women reduce or eliminate leaking. Take a look at PeriCoach’s new (and FUNNY!) “Leakers Anonymous” video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9FvNt7skoE&feature=youtu.be . In addition to making you laugh, the goal of this video is to take away the shame associated with incontinence, ease the way into a conversation with a health care provider, and give women inspiration and a solution to reduce or eliminate the problem. Warning: This video will cause laughter. Leakers, consider yourselves warned!
