Oh my goodness!! How many of you are going crazy right now because of all the new toys and no-where for them to go!!
Tips
- Time to purge! If you did not make a toy donation already this year this is a great time to it! Make sure to get a slip so you can file it on your taxes.
- Donate the toys your kids have gotten to old for to friends and family that have younger kids.
- Put up in storage a few of the toys they really did love to play with. These will be a great keepsake for when they are older and have kids of their own.
Now time to organize what they do have left!! Here are a few great items I have found:
Step2 Lift and Roll Toy Box right now $40.98
Delta Multi-Color Deluxe Toy Organizer with Storage Bins $39.99
Tot Tutors Book Rack, Primary Colors right now $29.98
Disney Fairies Book And Toy Organizer right now $34.99
ECR4Kids 3-Tier Toy Storage Organizer with 12 Bins right now $72.47

Great tips! I also used to store some toys I knew they would like to play with just so I would have something “new” to brig out once in a while. Another great idea is to have the children choose some of their old toys to donate. Thanks for the article.; great ideas there!

This post would be very good if I had children.

I always love organization ideas. Thanks.

Great ideals but it’s easier for me to declutter in the spring or first of summer after the newness of all the toys have been played out, winter clothes are out grown and summer clothes are cheap to be replaced giving me time to shop for school.

I have trouble always with storing toys. Somehow with 2 kids and a 2 bedroom apartment there is not enough room anywhere! I still can’t figure out what to do with the baby stuff. I have a toy storage rack with the plastic boxes, and I love it but we had to put it in the hallway because my son will play with toys instead of going to bed. If the toys are out they are too tempting to ignore!

The organizers look so fun! I will have one of these when my child reaches the age when he knows how to clean up his own mess. He’s just 2 and still on the process of learning to follow commands. But on second thought, getting one of these may be a good start. What do you think?

Organizing toys is the hardest, no matter how you do it. I like the toy organizer with bins. I also feel that toys should be put away and brought out in intervals; so many toys don’t get used because they are always underneath.

I don’t have kids so toys are not a problem, but I noticed that just my own Christmas gifts are making life seem cluttered around here! These are good tips to use in any area of your life. I could use a good purge to start the new year. 🙂

I have been purging and organizing for the last 2 weeks, so many new presents this year. We have a great volunteer thrift store that benefits 2 local food banks, it feels good to purge and know that it will benefit my community!
